Law Enforcement Advocacy

Catalyst communicates with law enforcement to ensure that victims connect with an advocate as soon as possible after a domestic violence incident.

Catalyst communicates with law enforcement to ensure that victims connect with an advocate as soon as possible after a domestic violence incident. Survivors can also connect with us directly after a recent interaction with law enforcement.

Advocates provide follow up services such as:

  • Assistance making or accessing a police report
  • Following up with the responding officer
  • Filing a restraining order
  • Getting connected to other supportive services

In collaboration with the Prevention and Outreach Program, Advocates offer training for local law enforcement agencies.
