I want to donate my time to help people in my community affected by domestic violence.

Volunteer of the Month

Featured Volunteer of the Month: September 2021

Volunteer Start Date: June 2021

Time Served: 74 Hours

Carol is a student at Chico State majoring in Public Health. She spends most of her time at the shelter supporting survivors on the hotline. She also enjoys helping out with childcare and spends time interacting with kiddos whenever possible. Recently, Carol participated in the volunteer panel and spoke to the incoming volunteer training class about her experience. She loves the flexibility and variety of volunteer opportunities offered and that every day at HAVEN is a new adventure!

Fun Facts: Carol has a passion for cooking and is always trying new recipes. She loves seeing the smile her food brings people when they try her meals. She loves all types of Asian noodle dishes but her favorites are pho and khao piak. Yum!
