I want to donate my time to help people in my community affected by domestic violence.

Volunteer of the Month

Featured Volunteer of the Month: November 2021

Volunteer Start Date: June 2021

Time Served: 105 Hours

Brooke recently graduated from Chico State with her Bachelor’s in Psychology and minor in Child Development. She has always been passionate about empowering and helping others which is what drew her to Catalyst. At the shelter, Brooke enjoys answering the crisis line and making meaningful connections with participants. She has also been a big help with community outreach, tabling at various events including the Pride Teen Dance and Pop-up Art Fair. She also helped distribute Catalyst flyers to local businesses during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We appreciate her hard work and endless energy!

Fun Facts: In her free time, you will find Brooke reading – she is well into her 15th book this year! Brooke is also into astrology. She enjoys studying birth charts and understanding the ways the planets and stars affect people’s lives on a daily basis. She also loves to cook, mostly plant-based meals. Her favorite dish is vegan mac and cheese with a ton of delicious veggies, yum!
