I want to donate my time to help people in my community affected by domestic violence.

Volunteer of the Month

Featured Volunteer of the Month: June 2021

Volunteer Start Date: January 2021

Time Served: 115 Hours

Alika is currently attending Chico State and majoring in psychology. Volunteering at Catalyst was recommended to her by an advisor. She was excited about the opportunity to get hands-on experience and learn more about domestic violence and how to support survivors. Alika spends most of her time at Catalyst connecting with people on the crisis hotline. She also really enjoys working on projects and helping clean and organize spaces to make the shelter a more welcoming environment.

Fun Facts: Alika’s favorite way to spend free time is with her loved ones. Whether it’s sharing a meal, playing board games, or having conversation, she cherishes that time. Alika also loves music and plays the piano, guitar, and ukulele. She enjoys creating all different kinds of art, she crafts and paints, and lets her creative energy flow!
