I want to donate my time to help people in my community affected by domestic violence.

Volunteer of the Month

Featured Volunteer of the Month: August 2022

Volunteer Start Date: August 2021

Time Served: 145 Hours

After graduating with her Bachelor’s in Psychological & Brain Sciences, Violeta decided to devote a year to volunteering and exploring her interests. She immediately thought of Catalyst! She wanted to directly support domestic violence survivors and help create safe spaces for them in the community. Violeta spent the majority of her time volunteering at the emergency shelter and answering calls on the crisis line. Recently, Violeta has shifted to tabling at outreach events and bringing Catalyst’s message to the community. Violeta starts graduate school this summer and is excited to earn her Master’s in Forensic Psychology!

Fun Facts: Violeta is half Ecuadorian and growing up she spent the majority of her school breaks in South America. She’s is grateful for the memories she created traveling and visiting with family.
