I want to donate my time to help people in my community affected by domestic violence.

Volunteer of the Month

Featured Volunteer of the Month: August 2021

Volunteer Start Date: January 2021

Time Served: 113 Hours

Charish joined the volunteer program during the pandemic to make the most out of her time and to give back to the community. She primarily works at HAVEN and has enjoyed customizing welcome bags to meet the individual needs of each family welcomed into shelter. Whenever possible, she also likes to help out with special events. Most recently she was a huge help at HAVEN’s Celebrate You Day! Charish has also done a lot of community outreach, she contacted Computers For Classrooms to get a working computer for HAVEN participants. She also reached out to Chico businesses to gathered donations to raffle out at the Chico Pride Teen Pride Dance & Carnival event. Charish has done so much and we appreciate all her hard work!

Fun Facts: Charish lived in Brazil for a year and speaks fluent Portuguese. She loves to travel both near and far. She enjoys hiking at Upper Bidwell with her pup, camping, paddle boarding, and skiing. She is up for any and all adventures!
